Children and Youth

• Weekly group or private classes are offered year-round
• A positive and affirming atmosphere
• Grouped as much as possible according to ages, 1st grade through high school
• A variety of mediums:
  • Clay sculpting
  • Drawing with pencil, charcoal, oil pastel
  • Painting with watercolor and tempera paints
  • Collage
  • Cartooning
  • Special projects.
• Encouragement of creativity and problem solving
• Experimentation with new and challenging approaches
• Practice of age appropriate artistic skills and techniques
• A variety of subject matter: animals, people, still life, landscape…plus images from the imagination

“How to Draw Animals” taught by Glenda Dietrich Moore

Practice drawing various animals in simple ways while learning shapes, shading, fur and individual animal facial features.
SATURDAY FEB. 11, 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon.
$10.00; bring your own drawing tablet, pencils and eraser.
This class is for adults and/or an adult and child together (each pays $10.00). 

Taught at Southeast Community College Continuing Ed. Center (one block east of 68th and O Streets, behind Shopko). To register, call SCC at 402-437-2700, or fill out the registration form in the Winter Class Schedule (this class is on page 17).

Schedule and Fees at Glenda’s Home Art Studio:

Group classes (up to 7 students)—$75.00 for 6 weekly one-hour sessions. Fee includes all materials.

Private Lessons—$25.00 per hour, scheduled at your convenience.
