2025 Winter Art Classes

Painting Lakes, Waterfalls, and Oceans in Watercolor – Saturday, February 22, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon. Southeast Community College Continuing Education Building near 68th and ‘O’ Streets in Lincoln. $39/person.
Learn various techniques for painting water in its many forms in watercolor. There will be easy-to-follow demonstrations of techniques and skills used in painting waterscapes, plus ample time to practice painting. Adults and children 5th grade and above at all skill levels are welcome.
Painting Rocky Landscapes in Watercolor – Saturday, March 22, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon. Southeast Community College Continuing Education Building near 68th and ‘O’ Streets in Lincoln. $39/person. This workshop will concentrate on painting mountains, rocks, and canyons in watercolor. Demonstrations will include depicting shapes and shadows, color mixing, creating depth and atmospheric perspective. Students should have had at least an introductory watercolor painting class. Adults and youth 5th grade and above are welcome.
Watercolor Supplies for classes at Southeast Community College:
One 9 x 12 inch tablet of 12-15 sheets of 140 lb. watercolor paper such as Strathmore, Canson or Arches, a Prang or Yarka watercolor painting kit, one or two No. 8 or No. 10 round watercolor brushes (plus other brushes you may already have), paper towels, and a plastic water container.
